HCA faces a formidable foe in te Eagles of The Geneva School who are also 11-1 and hungry for a State title since this is their third straight visit to the finals with no victory yet. Harvest Christian Academy, celebrating its 20th anniversary as a school, competes in TAPPS 2A athletics, which is the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. Formed in 1978, TAPPS serves 235 private schools in Texas representing 40,000 students. HCA has competed in both 6-man and 11-man football in its 20-year history. The 2014 football campaign has been an underdog season for the Saints. Finishing 2-8 last year and picked to come in at the bottom of district competition this season, the Saints have surprised everyone except Head Coach Perry Myers and his steam. Coach Myers stated "This team has believed and worked hard since day one. They have won many games by playing with more heart than the competition." Congratulations to the Saints for their incredible season and good luck at State. The game will be broadcast by TAPPS via the NFHS Network at http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/associations/tapps.
